Aimhigher Norfolk funds projects and activities which target young people and families who may be vulnerable or hard to reach. It aims to help young people to think about learning or training at a higher level and makes them aware of progression routes into further or higher education. Aimhigher particularly wants to support work with:
- Parents and carers
- Young people in or leaving care
- Young people not in education, employment or training (NEET)
- Young people in work-based learning
- Older learners and returners to education
There is a funding limit of £5,000 but for collaborative bids, higher limits will be considered. Please see above website for contact details and application form which will be appearing there shortly.

PAAVS is a project delivered by Community Connections in Great Yarmouth to support organisations deliver their own training as National Open College Network accredited. An example case study is where 14 of 18 completers on one PAAVS supported course then went onto Norwich City College to do a Teaching Assistant qualification. See here for more information.
