Train to Gain incentives on offer
We are pleased to announce four £250 incentives for organisations to meet with Train to Gain brokers
The Regional Train to Gain VCS Awareness project, delivered by COVER and funded by the LSC, is making available four £250 incentives for Norfolk VCS organisations to meet with a Train to Gain broker for the day. Train to Gain brokers will meet with your staff (and volunteers) and assess your training and developmental needs, then signpost you to appropriate, fully and partially funded training opportunities, if they exist for your need.
This is a fantastic opportunity to not only benefit from meeting a Train to Gain broker but to also be compensated for the time to do so. All we ask is that participating organisations complete an evaluation questionnaire of the service to help us ensure the needs of the VCS can be appropriately met by Train to Gain in the future. As you may or may not be aware, volunteers have recently been added to the eligibility list for Train to Gain, enabling volunteers to also receive the benefits of fully and partially funded training opportunities previously reserved for paid staff. If you are not aware, we also have an event targeted at increasing awareness of Train to Gain, where not only the benefits of receiving this service will be discussed, but also how some may benefit from contributing to Train to Gain as providers and receiving funding that way. We will also be hearing about the new tutoring qualifications on offer and of a PTLLS (Preparation to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector)course coming to the Norfolk VCS this May.
