Updates re: third sector and/or learning and skills from Coalition Government announcements
Learner Support Qualification
There are still places for the funded Learner Support Qualification to be held in Great Yarmouth. This is a great opportunity for anyone who assists a main tutor, either as a volunteer or as a paid member of staff, to get a qualification in supporting learners. See our events page for more info.
DWP Prime Contractors
Please see here for new guidance for potential prime contractors for the Department of Work & Pensions. Contracts are ‘likely to be between £10-50 million per year’ and at least across an entire ‘lot’ (i.e. region, such as East of England). This increases the emphasis for third sector/small providers to engage effectively as potential subcontractors. Norfolk Unites will continue to strive to identify bidders and let you know about it on our Funding page so that you can consider putting yourself forward as a potential partner for any applications led by those larger contract management companies.
