New funds added
National and regional funding and grants - we have recently collated all funding and grants that Learn East has come across. Go to our Funding page to see this new set up, where you can find masses of funding all in one place!
Norfolk NHS – offers for voluntary and community sector organisations to deliver smoking cessation services and engaging and supporting young people to undergo Chlamydia screening. Deadline end of August. See here for more info, under our new ‘Norfolk funding and county/regional/national partner opportunities’.
Department of Work & Pensions – Expressions of Interest in becoming a future sub-contractor on DWP programmes generally (see here - deadline 30th July) and with Ingeus (see here - deadline August 21st).
Norwich City College (STEPs) – capacity building voluntary and community organisations to engage people in first level learning. See here for more info.
Bursaries available for teaching, learner support or advice giving
Bursary support is available to individuals working or volunteering within the Third Sector, for accredited courses (at any level), delivered by a recognised provider, related to a teaching, learner support or advice giving role. See ‘national/regional news’ section on the main news page for more info.
Case studies
Learn East (the regional network which includes Norfolk Unites) is looking for case studies from organisations involved in learning and skills. There is money available to cover the organisations’ time to contribute. If you are interested in forming part of this ‘pack’ to promote third sector learning and skills delivery to various stakeholders across the east of England, please see here for more details. We only have room for 1 or 2 case studies per county so if you are interested there is a need to act quickly!!
NCVO updates – have you had your funding cut from local authorities?
See here for the latest NCVO updates re: ‘The Big Society’. One particular campaign is collating evidence of where voluntary and community groups have had their funding allocation cut due to cuts made by local authorities. Please follow this link for more.
