Norfolk Unites Directory update

We have seen a huge upturn in people accessing the Norfolk Unites website.  Over 300 different people accessed the Directory page alone in May – don’t miss out on the chance for your organisations’ service to be flagged up by anyone searching here.  From the registered information, we have also been able to contact specific organisations concerning relevant current funding opportunities.  Examples of this have been working with NEET individuals in Norwich and also for those working with those with disabilities.  Ensure you do not miss out on the chance to contribute/benefit by registering with us on the Directory.

Funding updates

We have recently added information concerning the Transformation Fund (The Learning Revolution/ Summer of Learning launched by DIUS) by HEART Foyers interested to hear from any potential partners for their application.  PAAVS, delivered by Community Connections, has also put itself forward to any organisation interested in getting their training programme accredited as part of any applications here.  Also added is a fund from Children in Need for working with young people with disabilities.  Remember, all these have tight timescales – we have put the information together to save individual searches and to make sure you find out in time.  If you do come across anything that you may feel applicable for other organisations (such as the Children in Need fund which was kindly passed onto us by Move on East) then please let us know and we can bring it to other peoples’ awareness – Funding site.

If you have received this email via another party and wish to receive direct mailings, please contact us and we will add you to our contacts.  We have included everyone on our contact list with people who have at some time engaged or those organisations we feel it has been important to engage with.  Please feel free to pass this news onto any other individual/organisation you feel could benefit from this.  If you do not wish to receive further mailings from us, please contact us to unsubscribe.

Train to Gain Leadership and management event

A reminder of the above events to be held across Norfolk in June/July, delivered by Voluntary Norfolk, Norfolk Unites and West Norfolk VCA in partnership.  We have recently added a slot by the National Apprenticeships Service to those dates – please go to our Events page to find out more.

An event explaining the Machinery of Government changes is being held in Cambridge on 7th July, detailing how post 16 processes (e.g. roles currently held by the LSC) will be held in the new systems.  See here for information email and here for official invite.

Attached are fliers for two free courses being run in July aimed at those new to Skills for Life teaching. They are based on the highly successful Core Curriculum courses which the Norfolk Learning Partnership has run in the past. Places are limited so an early application is suggested. ESOL, Literacy.
