LSC transition communications

The Third Sector National Learning Alliance (TSNLA) has been awarded a contract by the LSC to ensure that the third sector in England is communicated with and supported through the transition from the LSC (as a key funder of learning and skills provision) to two new agencies, the Skills Funding Agency and the Young Peoples Learning Agency.  See here for more information.

Learning for Life in Norfolk Partnership meeting minutes 

The Learning for Life in Norfolk Partnership, facilitated by Norfolk Adult Education, is a partnership looking at cross sector issues relating to this area of work.  Please see here for latest minutes.  If you have anything you would like to input into this, please contact Amanda Payne (Move on East) who is the Norfolk VCS/third sector representative.

PTLLS, learning support and numeracy support qualifications 

Please see attached for details of free PTLLS (Preparation to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector), learner support and numeracy support qualifications.  Practitioners must be working in, or working towards, Skills for Life provision.

Supported housing and homelessness conference

Please find attached the details of the forthcoming Space East Conference for stakeholders in Supported Housing and Homelessness in the East of England. This may be of interest to you or one of your colleagues working with marginalized and socially excluded people or with a role/ interest in housing support services.  Booking form is also attached.

Skillup event - Norfolk skills and economic development 

This half day workshop on Skills and Economic Development will:
• Review how we currently work together
• Discuss employer needs and consider how we can communicate more effectively
• Develop a number of action points that will help us improve our service to businesses in Norfolk
