News: Have you been marginalized from ESF delivery?; Other news for providers and third sector orgs

Are you a third sector organisation who used to deliver directly on ESF contracts but have now been marginalized due to the new regional contracts?

If you are, the Third Sector European Network would like to hear from you ASAP as they are submitting evidence to the House of Lords.  If you feel you have been sidelined whereas before you were delivering on ESF contacts, follow up on this as a matter of urgency. See here for more information.

Supporting learners with numeracy course

Another 2 day course is to be offered through the Norfolk Learning Partnership at the end of January/beginning of February for those interested in supporting Skills for life learners with numeracy.  See here for flyer and here for application form.

Calling all third sector health and social care providers!

Please find invitation to a regional, Skills for Care event happening in February in Cambridge.  This event kicks off a number of more local events focused on developing apprenticeships in the care sector, due later in 2010. Skills for Care are keen to engage third sector care employers in their plans.

Refreshed Compact

The Refreshed Compact has been published and is available here.   The Compact is the longstanding agreement that sets out shared commitments and guidelines for effective partnership working between government and the third sector in England.

Third sector contributions to children and young people and personal services

The office of the third sector is looking at how the third sector can:
 
• … offer greater choice and influence to children and young people through greater participation?
• … be supported to work together, tailoring services around the needs of individual children and young people?
• … scale up and mainstream innovative personal services?
