New funds added

  • NHS Suffolk – Integrated Healthy Lifestyles Services
  • West Norfolk Borough Council – Interactive careers event
  • Speaking Out Small Grants Programme – Small grants of up to £1,000 for projects and activities involving children and young people
  • CWDC – Training to practitioners working at children centres outreach services
  • EDF Energy Trust – To support energy debt advice, energy efficiency services. Also awards for individuals/families to support clearing energy debt
  • Home Office – Evaluation of Neighbourhood Agreements
  • DWP – Training for unemployed people with disabilities
  • Crisis Changing Lives – financial awards to help people who have been through a homeless situation in the past five years move towards financial independence
  • Centre for Social justice Awards – £10,000 awards to recognise groups working for social justice
  • Suffolk County Council – Open Weekend for Suffolk: small grants for sporting and cultural activities for Suffolk groups

Directory improvements

We have now added a ‘carers’ category to the Norfolk Unites Directory. Please amend your entry if you work also work with carers to enable your organisation to be identified in the future.  We are also pleased to present a visually impaired friendly version of the Directory to enable those with sight impairments to more easily read the content with their assistive technologies as they input their organisational details onto the Directory.

Directory of Social Change training

The Directory of Social Change is launching its 2010 Training Guide for its courses. Trainers have experience specific to the voluntary sector. Courses are nationwide and are priced to include the smallest charities. Courses cover: Fundraising; Management & Leadership; Strategy & Finance; Law and Health & Safety; HR Management, Training & Development; Marketing & Media’; Communication & Interpersonal Skills.  Full course listings can be found online.

Job vacancy
