About us
The Norfolk Mentoring Network was set up in the Spring of 2005 to provide a 'Resource Centre' to support business and education practitioners in the county who use mentoring as a tool within their core activities. This Network is currently supported by Aimhigher Norfolk and managed by the Norfolk Learning Partnership.
We are pleased to have recently been joined by more than 100 delegates at the 4th successful Annual event, which will took place on 12th March. During each of the four Conferences, delegates have attended a wide range of workshops based around current mentoring activity, lead by facilitators who are organising and managing mentoring projects themselves or are providing accreditation. As a result of the Conferences, word has spread about this Network, and there are more than 300 active registered members who have attended one of our events.
The Development Team, which is coming to the end of it's third term, aims to support Mentors and coordinators of mentoring projects by collecting and collating materials of best practice in mentoring. Within the resources section of this site you will find materials relating to these and other mentoring projects from which you can develop to help set up your own mentoring projects.
"If just one child is inspired and given the chance to realise their potential, I have achieved something."
We have defined mentoring as a two-way developmental relationship which aims to enhance personal growth and help realise the potential of all concerned over a sustained period of time.
Our Aim: "Promoting a healthy environment for Mentoring to flourish in Norfolk"
