Training Needs Analysis Handbook for the VCS
We are pleased here to present for you a handbook aimed at helping Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS)/ third sector organisations to undertake their own Training Needs Analysis (TNA).
It is widely acknowledged that investing in your staff and volunteers is good for the overall ‘health’ of an organisation, but this involves more than just setting a budget for training. A TNA helps, amongst other things, to establish the skills base of an organisation, to help develop strategies for plugging any skills gaps and to provide the opportunity to think about more effective ways of using skills surpluses.
Acknowledgements are made here to Sharon Matthews of The Benjamin Foundation and Chrissy Chalmers of Space East/Norfolk County Council (Supporting People) for their work in producing this handbook.
See here for handbook, which will take you through the whole process, as contextualized for third sector use.
Please pass on the weblink of this page to any other organisation/individual you feel could benefit from this. If this is the first you have heard of Norfolk Unites - please follow this link to find out a bit more about our acheivements and what we can do for you.
